Trick and tips

  • Apply a moisturizing balm several times a day. The lips are the preferred target of wind and cold: fragile and continuously exposed, they are not provided with sebaceous glands, unlike the rest of our skin. They are, therefore, not protected by a hydrolipidic film and suffer the full force of the cold’s consequences. To shelter them, put on a balm or a nourishing stick to avoid cracking and cracking. Some are even slightly colored for a healthy glow supplement. Our favorite formulas? Those that are enriched with beeswax, cocoa butter, jojoba or shea, effective and natural. Apply them as often as necessary.
  • Plump your lips every morning with a pen. A full and well-designed mouth is, first of all, a thick and dense dermis, even if the surface of the lips is naturally five times thinner than the rest of the skin of the face and continuously exposed. It must, therefore, be cared for and hydrated to the maximum to increase its volume. Well seen: lip pens full of collagen and hyaluronic acid, but also of restructuring agents and emollient molecules, such as Centella Asiatica and glycerin, to plump, smooth and nourish. Apply the treatment in the morning, and leave on for a few moments before putting on lipstick.
  • Shea butter for restorative hydration. From the eponymous nut, shea butter is known to hydrate, soften, repair. Packed with vitamins A and E, it is the ally of chapped lips. The ideal is to coat the damaged lips with a thick layer of shea butter before going to bed and then to keep this saving mask until the morning. From the first application, the repairing functions of shea butter will start to have their effect. This repairing lip mask can also be applied during the day.
  • Honey for a healing balm. To treat chapped lips naturally, it is strongly recommended to apply a highly repairing mask several times a day: honey. When applied to the lips in a generous layer, it needs a short fifteen-minute break before being removed using a soft, lint-free cotton pad soaked in warm water. It remains to dab the lips to dry them without irritating them. Honey has remarkable healing power. It therefore makes it possible to fill the small crevices so painful.
  • The scrub is to do once in the week not to assault your lips. It will help remove dead skin and other impurities. And if you don’t want to ruin yourself in a scrub, nothing could be simpler! A little honey and sugar will do the trick for a homemade scrub made in two minutes flat!
  • Make a mask. Your lips need to be boosted in terms of hydration, especially in cold weather like your face. For this, there are more and more specific lip masks to do once or twice a week.
  • Gently exfoliate. Once a week, we rid our lips of dead cells. Basic version: we gently rub our mouth by making small circles with a damp towel or toothbrush. Advanced version: we put on a scrub specifically designed for sensitive skin. We will multiply the power of moisturizers and promote a nickel application of our favorite lipstick.
  • Feed generously. A common problem in the Nordic countries: our lips are cracking. To avoid ending up with a crocodile-style mouth, we use protective balms that contain cocoa or shea butter, emollients, as well as vitamin A or E, which promote long-term hydration. Indispensable allies who should never leave our purse!
